Grayson Armature employs a Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) tank, with a 12' diameter with real time recording of Vacuum, Pressure, Temperature
and Penetration. It is coated with state-of-the-art vonRoll Isola 74035
Epoxy varnish. It has superior moisture resistance for coils and
laminations as well as improved corrosion protection for equipment
operating in the Gulf Coast environments.
Some of the benefits to using the 64035 Catalyzed Epoxy High Retention
Resin are:
Singe VPI
process - Eliminates second and third processes necessary with other
epoxies.
-
High resin
retention in coil package - the resin stays in the coil instead of
draining back into the tank.
-
3-4 mil
build for a moisture and corrosion resistance barrier.
-
Sealed
winding capability; typical water absorption after 24 hours immersion is
less than 0.22% .
-
Rapid turn
around .
-
Excellent
electrical properties as well as thermal conductivity .
-
Outstanding
moisture and environmental protection .
-
Improved
corona resistance and inverter duty performance
-
Excellent
chemical resistance
-
Good thermal
shock characteristics
